Gratitude.

Good Morning beloved's!!
I wanted to share a wonderful experience that happened to me yesterday evening.

It was almost dinner time and I hadn't made dinner yet so I instantly thought "yumm, Breakfest for Dinner". To my surprise I didn't have any eggs to make my homemade pancake batter. So I asked for Jarrod to watch Hunter while I made a quick run to the Grocery store to get some and a few other items I needed.

As soon as I walked in I noticed that the gentleman with DS was working. (I often go in and see him and just pray I can open up a line of communication with him, but until this point I hadn't) We'll today was going to be different, my heart felt heavy and eager to chat with him. I made my rounds and gathered up everything that I needed for dinner. I then made my way up to the register and got in the "gentleman's" line. He was very kind and soft spoken. He asked if it were okay to use plastic bags on my grocery's and just made small talk. After I was checked out. he asked if I would like help to my car. I was EXTATIC, here was my chance to talk to him and tell him about my sweet little boy.

We headed towards the door, I then realized it was raining pretty well out. I had a small umbrella but nothing that could fit us both. I told him that I didn't want to cause him to get rained on. He just paused and said to wait one minute while he got his raincoat. I just smiled. We started to walk to the car and I just opened up small talk and asked about his job. how he liked it and if he had to work a lot. he said " I really like my job and that he didn't work to much, Just enough" =D I then began working in Hunter. I told him that I had a sweet almost 10 month old little boy. and before I could get out that Hunter had DS. he stopped me and looked at me and asked "Well, how old are you" I guess I looked really young. I told him 24. he then just smirked and was like " I'm older than you, I'm 30" he said it in the sweetest voice as if he was so excited he was older than me. I then proceeded to tell him about Hunter having DS. He just smiled. we finished putting the bags into the car and I then thanked him for helping me to my car and he wished me a good night and to drive safely.

I got in my car and a ball of emotions came rolling in. I began to cry and feel so blessed. I thanked him for the "gentleman" (it was such a quick conversation, i didn't even get his name). I thanked the Lord for opening doors that I would have never known about and for the sweet blessing of Hunter. Down Syndrome has been such a wonderful blessing. I think about how many people are afraid of it and my heart just weeps. It's WONDERFUL and has brought me so much joy. It's a joy I want to share with everyone.

I am so very thankful to my sweet Savior for his wonderful grace and blessings!
Rejoicing!!!

2 Little Teeth!!

I'm now a proud momma to a little boy with 2 teeth!!!!

After a little crying, restlessness, and his fingers in his mouth constantly, I checked Hunter's gums and what do I see?? Not one but 2 Little specks!! He was doing so much better since the 1st tooth came in a few weeks back and now my poor little guy is going to be uncomfortable for a day or so until this one cuts through all the way.

However

It's so exciting seeing new things and watching him grow!!
Praise The Lord for sweet gifts!!

Cake Decorating Fun!!

Happy Father's Day!!'
Hunter and I love you very much!!
Jarrod's First Father's day celebrated with a cake I decorated!! This was my very first attempt at cake decorating! I can't wait to learn more.
SUPER DAD- Meaning behind it is That I always joke with Jarrod and Tell him he is always the best at everything he does. for Example: If he goes Hunting he is the first to get a buck, fishing he is the first to reel one in.. etc
In Other words I think he is the BEST.. =D

I am finally able to get back into the swing of craftiness again! I am so excited! Our Life has been so busy lately that I haven't had much time to sit down and let my creativity go wild.
My friend Britney posted some of her latest art from cake decorating class and it intrigued me so much! She Informed me that there is a class that I can take right now and they are in the beginning weeks of it!! I have been thinking about taking this type of class for a while, but just haven't gotten to it. I'm so excited that Lord willing I will learn enough to make Hunter's 1st birthday cake with my impending skills.

Today, Britney and I got together to decorate and fellowship and what a wonderful day it was! She showed me some skills and tips on how to get started. I had a blast. However, my favorite part of the day was getting to sit and talk and just get to fellowship! I am so very thankful for wonderful Godly sister's to seek advice from! I feel so very blessed for the friendships I have!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

.Relaxation and Excitement.

Good Afternoon my sweet friends!
This last week and a half has been filled with so much fun and relaxation!! It's been such a blessing to say the least!!

Let's rewind a little...

Hunter Turned 9 months old. I can hardly believe that it's already been that long since I gave birth to our precious little man! He has been growing and growing lately. He has done 3 BIG achievements for us.

1. He started rocking on his hands and knees the day he turned 9 months old. He has been consistently kept it up also! woohoo.. Go Little Man Go!! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you.

2. The very next morning he got his very first tooth! (bottom left) It is still very tiny but very much there! He wasn't a happy of a camper when it broke through but he is doing much better with it now! =D

3.We resumed therapy this week to find that Hunter is transitioning from the "rocking" to sitting! && Today, with his PT he successfully transitioned to the sitting position ALL BY HIMSELF!

I stand in awe of how the Lord is working in my little guy. I am so very thankful that I get to enjoy and see him grow! Jarrod and I enjoy every single TINY new thing he does. It's such a blessing to see how my eyes have opened to things that I didn't notice before I had Hunter. I realized that we took advantage of the "small" things. The things that are so small to us actually take many muscles and skill to achieve! I am so grateful to be learning so much along side of Hunter!

We also enjoyed an amazing family trip to Key West. It was so much fun and we brought back so many memories and pictures to remember it by. We stayed in one of the most beautiful homes right off the ocean, we boated Daily (mainly the guys fished), My Hubby showed how awesome of a "all outdoorsman" he was!! I am so proud of him, we enjoyed cuddling time as a family of 3, we went scooter riding, We got a parking ticket (yep, that's right. a TICKET on vacation.. We should have been looking at signs carefully),sunsets, smoothies, and so much more. It is definitely a trip I will always remember!

&& Our last Big events for this week

and are so thankful for is Hunter's benefit ride on saturday and Jarrod's first Father's day! I can't wait and am already planning a sweet little gift for My Husband! He is the BEST daddy and Husband, I want to show him just how special we think he is..

Stay tuned for the gift/craft...

Well, I am off to spend some cuddle time with my little man and make Lunch. I hope everyone is having a very blessed week!

A little photo catch up.

The Picture I just took for his 1st birthday invitations!

Rockin' Away on his 9 Month Birthday!!

Just about 10 minutes ago, Jarrod called my name and said "baby, Hunter looks like he is trying to get into the crawling position on his own". I was of course excited, but didn't really think he would just yet. Then about a minute passed and I turned around to see Hunter ROCKING on his hands and knees!!!!!!
I was STUNNED!!
Jarrod and I starting smiling like crazy and cracking up!! We are so very excited! It was such a super fast pop up to rocking!! Up until just about 10 minutes ago, Hunter had to be assisted to get into the crawling position and I might also add that there were times when he would straighten out his legs and resist that position!! Well, I guess he is getting tired of sitting still and wants to get into more stuff now!!!
Time to really break out the baby proofing supplies!!!

The Lord was so sweet to have given us this sweet gift on Hunter's 9 month birthday!!!
Thank you, Sweet Jesus! You are so gracious!!!
