Yummy & Messy!!

My Sou Chef- GORGEOUS husband!!
Baking away
Yummy "original" batter
Baking at 350*
Topping brownie pan #2
What a Dork I AM!!!
Putting them in the oven!
My second Sou Chef!
The YUMMY but Crumbly/messy brownies!!

Made from scratch brownies!!
One pan with peppermint kisses and one "original".

I decided that I would make some YUMMY made from scratch brownies for our game night tonight with all our friends coming over. && I wanted to document the process of it all. So that's exactly what I did! It's so funny, when I was making them Jarrod was cutting up all the peppermints for the topping and I told him that "I feel like a housewife from the 50's, you know the ones who wear there gorgeous dresses and cook and clean"... But really what I meant was that I felt SO BEAUTIFUL and FEMININE just by cooking and preparing a fun dessert for My husband and friends!! Too funny right....

They turned out AMAZING! However, they stuck to the pan and were a little more gooey than i expected!! ( I even cooked them for 10 minutes more than directed) Oh well, they may not be the "50's Beautiful" brownies but they are mighty delicious!!!

ENJOY!

Our Family Trip To St. Augustine!

Our trip to St. Augustine is such a special occasion to Jarrod and I! It is the place where we were engaged and started to plan our future together! We weren't able to come down to St. Augustine on December 23rd to celebrate that wonderful occasion, so we just planned another day to take our trip when Hunter was well and could join us.
It was such a wonderful and sweet afternoon. I felt so blessed to have gotten to share that day with my sweet family! I am overwhelmed with JOY for the blessing of being a Wife and Mommy! I am so thankful that The Lord has blessed me so much!

THANK YOU SWEET SAVIOR!

Joyful Tears

His last EKG for 6 months!!!

Where do I Start!

THANK YOU SWEET JESUS! My joyful triumph would not be possible without you and your sweet grace on my Son.

I write this with tears of Joy and excitement. We had our follow up appointment with our cardiologist Dr. Ettedgui this morning. We are so thrilled to hear that Hunter's heart is "spectacular" as Dr. E put it! He said that this is the most amazing repair he has seen and he is recovering beautifully! Jill (our Dr's PA) said that if she couldn't see his incision scar, she would think he had always had a perfect heart with the way it sounds!! Dr.E. was also thrilled with Hunter's growth and weight gain. Hunter is now 12lbz 5oz and 25.5 inches long! Only 6 days ago he was 12 pounds and 24.5 inches long. (all that cluster feeding makes sense now) It just amazes me! Praise be to my glorious Savior!

We sat and talked to Dr. E for a few minutes as he explained how everything looked and he then told me something that made me Smile inside and out. "Since Hunter was born Ours and Your main concern was to keep an eye on Hunter's heart and how well he was doing, but Now we can turn that page and not worry about his heart and just worry about him being a typical baby". Those words were an answered prayer! He then proceeded to tell me that He would like to see him back in 6 months since everything looked great and then after that if all stays the same we would only be back to see him once a year! Praise The Lord! After Dr. E shook our hands I got Hunter ready to go home and we checked out made our 6 month appointment and left on our way.

I called Jarrod on the way out to let him know all that was said this morning. He was so thrilled and like a proud daddy he told everyone at work how well his Little Man was doing! It made me smile so BIG! I am so thankful for a wonderful Husband who adores his son.

On our drive home, I couldn't help but to break down with tears of Joy for all that the Lord had done for us! He was showing me that He is ALWAYS faithful and that He loved my son. He continues to show me that he is mighty every single day! He heard my cries and answered my requests. What a Joy it is to know that I have a savior that Loves me so much and will always take care of me!

Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Rejoice, Again I say Rejoice!!!!!

Thank you so much to everyone who has prayed and is still praying for us. We are so very grateful and cannot express enough how much it means to us. You are all such blessings to us!

Prayers for A friend in need!

I recently met a wonderfully sweet new friend named Rachel. Her little girl Grace also has Down syndrome and Is only 4 days younger than my sweet Hunter! Her Daughter is going to be having Open Heart Surgery on the 20th of this month with the same surgeon who did Hunter's Heart Surgery! I am praising the Lord for them as they will receive the best care from him. We not only have confidence in Dr. Ceithaml but we have confidence that The Lord will be guiding his hands during this procedure.

I received an email from Rachel this morning asking for our prayers for Little Grace. She has been slowly backing off of her feedings and is now starting to get very overworked while feeding, as of today they had to take her into the ER to get a feeding tube placed in to assist her. I am asking for many prayers for this family! I know they Lord has them in his hands and is so mighty. Please Pray that the Lord will give them strength, that they will give there anxiety's over to him and that the Lord gives knowledge and skill to the Dr's and Nurses who are taking care of sweet baby Grace!

4 month well check

Hunter in the waiting room, waiting to be seen =D

Our Sweet little family about to go drive around to get out of the house since we can't quite be around anyone just yet!

Well today was Hunter's 4 month well check!
He weighed a WHOOPING 12 pounds even! I was Shocked! 1 week and 2 days ago he weighed 10 lbs 14 oz. so that means that he gained 1 pound 2 oz in a little over a week! I was THRILLED! Momma's milk is working just wonderful! He is 24.5 inches in length and his head circumference is 38.8! The Dr. said that he looks wonderful and everything sounds great! Oh && I almost forgot to mention that Hope (our ARNP) said that Hunter's gums look white in the 2 bottom teeth area, and thinks that they might be coming in soon!
I am praising the Lord for a HEALTHY growing boy!

(Just an insight on this:)
Hunter started nursing exclusively right after his Open Heart Surgery and Well since I was so use to knowing how many oz he was getting, not knowing exactly how much he was getting was very strange to me. I was worried that maybe he wasn't getting enough to eat. He will be fully nursed in 10 minutes and want to eat again in about 2 hours. He has had PLENTY of wet and poopy diapers, so I didn't really have anything to worry about. and Now knowing that he is gaining very well, lets me know that He is getting enough!! WOOOHOOO Praise The Lord! I Adore nursing him! It is such a wonderful bonding experience and so relaxing!

The Sweetest Smile

Hunter is all personality since his surgery! I love every part of it!

Lyrics I'd like to share...

I was updating my playlist this morning and I added a song by Jimmy Needham Called "fence riders". I went and looked up all the lyrics and I really wanted to share them.

It really convicted me, to no matter what share my Savior with all those around me. There are people who go witness EVERY SINGLE day that are teaching False doctrine and they are doing it "Loud and Proud" so to speak. I need to stop letting my "flesh" getting in the way of being too nervous and just let the word speak for itself!

Fence Riders-Jimmy Needham
Am I foolishness to you
And is it laughable the things I do
Can you callused minds see past yourselves to his devine
Am I foolishness to you

Can I sing about my maker
And have you not roll your eyes
Can I weep about my Savior
And the way he died
I know it don't make sense
To those who ride the fence
But I'm sold out to christ

You call it loosening up
Loosening up
I call it spiraling down
Only one thing's the same
Only one thing remains
Jesus Jesus

Can I sing about my maker
And have you not roll your eyes
Can I weep about my Savior
And the way he died
I know it don't make sense
To those who ride the fence
But I'm sold out to christ

You're all asleep
You're all asleep
You're all asleep oh children
But he's over needed
You don't see it no

Can I sing about my maker
And have you not roll your eyes
Can I weep about my Savior
And the way he died
I know it don't make sense
To those who ride the fence
But I'm sold out to christ

My Little Man is 4 months old!! I can barely believe it! Time is flying by so quickly!
It has been the most amazing 4 months getting to know our little guy! I'm Praising the Lord for everything he has given us! In Hunter's 4 months of life so far, we've experienced our 1 year wedding anniversary only 2 days after he was born, A wonderful thanksgiving, a SUCCESSFUL Open Heart Surgery (THANK YOU, JESUS), Our first CHRISTmas, and New Years. We are looking forward to all the things to come!
We feel truly blessed to be given our sweet little gift! He amazes us everyday!
