Gratitude.

Good Morning beloved's!!
I wanted to share a wonderful experience that happened to me yesterday evening.

It was almost dinner time and I hadn't made dinner yet so I instantly thought "yumm, Breakfest for Dinner". To my surprise I didn't have any eggs to make my homemade pancake batter. So I asked for Jarrod to watch Hunter while I made a quick run to the Grocery store to get some and a few other items I needed.

As soon as I walked in I noticed that the gentleman with DS was working. (I often go in and see him and just pray I can open up a line of communication with him, but until this point I hadn't) We'll today was going to be different, my heart felt heavy and eager to chat with him. I made my rounds and gathered up everything that I needed for dinner. I then made my way up to the register and got in the "gentleman's" line. He was very kind and soft spoken. He asked if it were okay to use plastic bags on my grocery's and just made small talk. After I was checked out. he asked if I would like help to my car. I was EXTATIC, here was my chance to talk to him and tell him about my sweet little boy.

We headed towards the door, I then realized it was raining pretty well out. I had a small umbrella but nothing that could fit us both. I told him that I didn't want to cause him to get rained on. He just paused and said to wait one minute while he got his raincoat. I just smiled. We started to walk to the car and I just opened up small talk and asked about his job. how he liked it and if he had to work a lot. he said " I really like my job and that he didn't work to much, Just enough" =D I then began working in Hunter. I told him that I had a sweet almost 10 month old little boy. and before I could get out that Hunter had DS. he stopped me and looked at me and asked "Well, how old are you" I guess I looked really young. I told him 24. he then just smirked and was like " I'm older than you, I'm 30" he said it in the sweetest voice as if he was so excited he was older than me. I then proceeded to tell him about Hunter having DS. He just smiled. we finished putting the bags into the car and I then thanked him for helping me to my car and he wished me a good night and to drive safely.

I got in my car and a ball of emotions came rolling in. I began to cry and feel so blessed. I thanked him for the "gentleman" (it was such a quick conversation, i didn't even get his name). I thanked the Lord for opening doors that I would have never known about and for the sweet blessing of Hunter. Down Syndrome has been such a wonderful blessing. I think about how many people are afraid of it and my heart just weeps. It's WONDERFUL and has brought me so much joy. It's a joy I want to share with everyone.

I am so very thankful to my sweet Savior for his wonderful grace and blessings!
Rejoicing!!!
